I <br /> Type I hoods to the outlet terminal, per IMC Section 506.3.10.2. The manufacturer's <br /> specification for the duct wrap should be submitted with the Type I hood mechanical permit. <br /> Accessibility <br /> 1. Not less than an additional 20% of the total valuation of the project should be identified on the <br /> response letter to indicate improvements to provide an accessible route to the primary function areas, <br /> per IBC sections 3411.7 and 3411.8. <br /> 2. Pull side dimension of new doors should be shown on the drawings as 18 inches, per ICC/ANSI A117.1- <br /> 2009 figure 402.3.2 (a). <br /> 3. At least one of the doors in the pair leading to the patio should be shown on the drawings to have a <br /> clear width opening of 32 inches, per IBC section 1008.1.1. <br /> 4. Hardware should be shown on the door schedule to operate without tight twisting or grasping requiring <br /> use of the wrist, per IBC section 1008.1.9.1. <br /> 5. The counter detail should indicate the required height for an accessible sales and service counter, per <br /> ICC/ANSI A117.1-2009 section 904.3. <br /> 6. Accessible seating should be shown in the dining area, per IBC section 1108.2.9.1. <br /> 7. Access to the exterior deck should indicate a detail of the threshold and floor material to provide an <br /> accessible route, per IBC section 1108.2.9. <br /> 8. Elevations of all new toilet rooms should be shown on the drawings to indicate dimensioned fixture <br /> locations, grab bars, clearances, and heights, per IBC A117.1-2009 chapter 6. <br /> These comments address building issues only. Revisions or additions may be required by other departments <br /> (Utilities, Public Works, or Planning). Code references cited include the 2012 International Building Code <br /> (IBC), 2012 International Fire Code (IFC), the 2012 International Mechanical Code (IMC:), the 2012 Uniform <br /> Plumbing Code (UPC), the 2012 Washington State Energy Code (WSEC), the 2012 International Property <br /> Maintenance Code (IPMC), and the ICC/ANSI A117.1-2009 Accessible and Usable Buildings and Facilities. All <br /> codes referenced, as adopted by the City of Everett, should include current revisions by the State of <br /> Washington.
