Construction Identification Signs: Upon commencement of Work, the Contractor shall <br /> furnish and erect two Construction Identification Signs, one at each end of each work area, <br /> locations of the signs shall be approved by the Engineer. <br /> a. Sign painting, letter and detailing shall be done by a professional sign maker and <br /> approved by Engineer prior to placement on job site. <br /> b. The signs shall be made from three-quarter inch M.D.O.(Medium Density Overlay or <br /> Dura-ply) plywood and conform to the dimensions shown on the "Construction <br /> Identification Sign" detail on COE Standard Plan No. 712. Each of the two <br /> Construction Identification Signs shall have a "Project Information Sign" plan <br /> attached to the surface of the sign face in accordance with COE Standard Plan No. <br /> 713.The Construction Identification Sign shall contain three lines of information: <br /> PROJECT NAME: <br /> PROJECT FUNDING: <br /> PROJECT COST: <br /> c. The above information shall be provided by the Engineer. <br /> d. The Construction Identification Signs shall be erected on portable wood sign frames. <br /> Sign frames shall be constructed with treated 4" x 4" wooden posts, as shown on the <br /> "Construction Identification Sign Stand"detail on COE Standard Plan No. 711. Signs <br /> and sign frames shall be maintained by the Contractor in a clearly legible condition <br /> throughout the progress of the Work and shall be completely removed upon <br /> completion of the project and delivered to the City's storage area for future use by the <br /> City. <br /> ' e. No separate payment for Construction Identification Signs will be made. All costs <br /> associated with this item shall be merged with the unit contract price for <br /> "Mobilization." <br /> 2. Engineer's Field Office: The Contractor shall provide an office for the use of the Engineer <br /> that may be in conjunction or attached to the Contractor's field office. Sanitary facilities <br /> shall be nearby. The location of the office shall be adjacent to the project and at a location <br /> acceptable to the Contractor and the Engineer. The office shall be equipped with a desk, <br /> layout table, chairs and telephone and suitable lighting, air conditioning and heating. A <br /> telephone shall be installed for the sole use of the Engineer.It shall be a separate unit with a <br /> different telephone number than the Contractor's phone. Mutually agreeable measures for <br /> ' the security of the office shall be arranged between the Contractor and Engineer. The <br /> Engineer's office shall be on-site,connected to all utilities and fully prepared for occupancy <br /> prior to release of the first warrant to the Contractor. <br /> a.
