Remove and dispose of stumps, large roots, <br /> Ilimbs and branches. <br /> 2-01.2(1) Disposal Method No. 1 —Open Burning <br /> I Delete 2-01.2(1). <br /> 2-01.4 Measurement <br /> Delete all paragraphs of 2-01.4 and substitute the following: <br /> I Bid items of Work completed pursuant to the Contract Documents will be measured as <br /> described in Division B — Bid Item Descriptions of these Special Provisions and Section 1-09 <br /> MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT of the Standard Specifications. <br /> 1 2-01.5 Payment <br /> Delete all paragraphs in 2-01.5 and substitute the following: <br /> Payment for bid items of Work completed pursuant to the Contract Documents will be as <br /> I described in Division B — Bid Item Descriptions of these Special Provisions and Section 1-09 <br /> MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT of the Standard Specifications. <br /> If there is no bid item to cover clearing and grubbing, then clearing and grubbing shall be <br /> Iincluded with other work with no direct compensation made. <br /> 2-02 REMOVAL OF STRUCTURES AND OBSTRUCTIONS <br /> 1 2-02.1 Description <br /> Delete 2-02.1 and substitute the following: <br /> I The Work shall consist of the removal, disposal or abandoning in-place of various existing <br /> improvements including, but not limited to, pavements, structures, pipe, curbs, curb and gutter, <br /> gutter, valves, manholes, catch basins and other items necessary for the accomplishment of the <br /> I improvement. <br /> All Work with asbestos-cement pipe shall conform to the "Recommended Standard Asbestos- <br /> Cement Pipe Work Practice Procedure and Training Requirements," latest edition, as published <br /> I by the American Water Works Association, Pacific Northwest Section. Remove and dispose of <br /> Asbestos-Cement pipe in accordance with the practices specified by the State of Washington <br /> Department of Ecology and the Snohomish County Solid Waste Division. <br /> I 2-02.3 Construction Requirements <br /> 2-02.3(2) Removal of Bridges,Box Culverts and Other Drainage Structures <br /> Supplement 2.02.3(2)by adding the following: <br /> I When removing structures such as manholes, inlets, or vaults that interfere with the <br /> construction, properly plug all pipe openings abandoned in-place watertight with <br /> Commercial Concrete, or with mortar and masonry, blocks or brick. <br /> I Backfill voids with suitable job excavated material where structures are removed. <br /> Compact suitable backfill material in accordance with 2-03.3(14)C. <br /> If the Engineer determines the job-excavated material unsuitable for backfill then <br /> IContractor shall obtain Gravel Borrow or CDF as directed, to complete backfilling the <br /> HAYES STREET REGULATOR February,2017 <br /> AND CSO CONTROLS (SRO1, SRO2, AND SRO3) <br /> I <br /> WO No—UP3398-31 SP- 138 <br />
