I <br /> Revise 2-08 to read as follows: <br /> 2-08 STREET CLEANING AND SWEEPING <br /> (******) <br /> 2-08.1 Description <br /> This Work shall consist of cleaning pavement and removing debris from roadways within the Project <br /> limits and Contractor haul routes. Sweep streets and roadways as needed at least once per day. <br /> Sweep all roadway areas subject to construction traffic within the Project area and connecting <br /> streets, preferably during non-peak use hours of the Project site. More frequent cleaning may be <br /> required,as directed by the City's Inspector,as conditions warrant. <br /> Spills shall be cleaned up immediately. Failure to clean streets or spills as required will result in City <br /> procuring street cleaning services, or cleaning streets themselves at City overtime rates. Either way, <br /> Contractor shall be responsible for reimbursing the City for cost incurred. If Contractor fails to <br /> promptly reimburse City then City will deduct cost, plus interest on unpaid balance, from <br /> Contractor's fmal payment. <br /> 2-08.2 Vacant <br /> 2-08.3 Construction Requirements <br /> Provide self-propelled pickup sweepers equipped with water spray systems for dust control for <br /> pavement cleaning and debris removal as required. Additional supplemental water to suppress dust <br /> during sweeping shall be applied with a water truck when necessary unless otherwise directed by the <br /> ►r City Inspector. <br /> The type and number of sweepers are subject to the approval of the Engineer. <br /> Plan construction operation to minimize the need for street cleaning. <br /> 2-08.4 Measurement <br /> 111 Bid items of Work completed pursuant to the Contract Documents will be measured as described in <br /> Division B—Bid Item Descriptions of these Special Provisions and Section 1-09 MEASUREMENT <br /> AND PAYMENT of the Standard Specifications. <br /> ' 2-08.5 Payment <br /> Payment for bid items of Work completed pursuant to the Contract Documents will be as described <br /> in Division B — Bid Item Descriptions of these Special Provisions and Section 1-09 <br /> MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT of the Standard Specifications. <br /> 2-09 STRUCTURE EXCAVATION <br /> 2-09.2 Materials <br /> Supplement 2-09.2 by adding the following at end of the materials list: <br /> Foundation Material Class A or B 9-03.17 Standard Specifications <br /> 2-09.3 Construction Requirements <br /> 2-09.3(1) General Requirements <br /> 2-09.3(1)C Removal of Unstable Base Material <br /> Delete all paragraphs in 2-09.3(1)C and substitute the following: <br /> When the material at the bottom of an excavation is not stable enough to support the <br /> Structure, the Contractor shall excavate below grade to the depth required by the <br /> Engineer and replace the unstable material with Foundation Material Class A or B. <br /> Place Foundation Material Class A or B in layers not more than six inches thick and <br /> compact to minimum of 90-percent maximum density as determined by 2-03.3(14)D. <br /> HAYES STREET REGULATOR February, 2017 <br /> AND CSO CONTROLS (SRO1, SRO2,AND SRO3) <br /> WO No—UP3398-31 SP- 144 <br />
