The general excavation and locating of utilities along the proposed pipe alignments will be incidental to the various pipe (sanitary sewer pipe, side sewer services, storm sewer pipe, water main, and water services)bid items. Bid Item 2—SURVEYING Specification Section 1-05 Measurement and Payment: Lump Sum The lump sum bid for surveying includes all costs associated with furnishing all labor, tools, I survey instruments materials, and other equipment necessary for the setting and monitoring the location, elevation, alignment and grade of the work as specified in Section 1-05.4 of the Standard Specifications and these Special Provisions and the Drawings. The lump sum bid item also includes all costs associated with furnishing all labor, tools, survey instruments,materials and other equipment necessary for verifying the rim and invert elevations, prior to construction, of all existing manholes and pipes where connections are to be made. The lump sum also includes all costs associated with furnishing all labor, tools, survey instruments, materials and other equipment necessary for obtaining the "as constructed" location and elevations of the Contract work, in particular, sewer pipe invert elevations and other information necessary for production of the Record Drawing (As-Constructed) documents meeting the requirements defined in Section 1-08.11 of these Special Provisions. Measurement for surveying shall be the ratio of actual pipe installed and backfilled to the total quantity of pipe listed in the proposal. Bid Item 3—SPILL PREVENTION,CONTROL AND COUNTERMEASURES PLAN Specification Section 1-07 Measurement and Payment: Lump Sum This lump sum unit price includes all costs associated with preparing and implementing a project-specific spill prevention, control, and countermeasures plan (SPCC Plans) in accordance with Section 1-07.15(1) of the standard specifications. Bid Item 4—MOBILIZATION Specification Section 1-09 Measurement and Payment: Lump Sum The lump sum bid for mobilization shall constitute complete compensation for all preconstruction costs of preparatory work and operations performed by the Contractor, including, but not limited to, those necessary for the movement of his personnel, equipment, supplies and incidentals to the project site; for the establishment of his offices, buildings and other facilities necessary for work on this project; for premiums on bonds and insurance for the project, and for work and operations which he must perform or costs he must incur before beginning production work on the various items on the project site. Mobilization also includes, but is not limited to: posting construction identification signs, securing permits, establishing safety and security measures, submitting the project schedule and providing product/materials submittals. Mobilization costs for all subcontracted work shall be considered to be included.
