Partial payments will be made for the lump sum contract price for"Mobilization"as follows: When 5% of the total original contract amount is earned from other bid items, 50% of the amount bid for mobilization, or 5% of the total original contract amount, whichever is the least, will be paid. When 10% of the total original contract amount is earned from other bid items. 100% of the amount bid for mobilization, or 10% of the total contract amount, whichever is the least, will be paid. Upon completion of all work on the project, payment of any amount bid for mobilization in excess of 10% of the total original contract amount will be paid. iBid Item 5—TRAFFIC CONTROL LABOR Specification Section 1-10 Measurement and Payment: Unit Price per Hour This unit price bid item includes all costs associated with traffic control labor (for flagging effort only) as identified in Sectionl-10.3(4) of the Special Provisions. The Contractor shall furnish all personnel for flagging to control traffic, including pedestrians, during construction operations in accordance with Section 1-10 of the Standard Specifications, the drawings, approved traffic control plans, as directed by the City and these Special Provisions. Payment shall be the hourly rate per the unit price and shall be at least as much as the prevailing wage rate with all benefits per the rates shown in Appendix E. Bid Item 6—MAINTENANCE AND PROTECTION OF TRAFFIC CONTROL Specification Section 1-10 Measurement and Payment: Lump Sum This lump sum bid item includes the maintenance and protection of traffic control measure materials, tools, and equipment necessary and incidental in accordance with Section 1-10.3(2) of the Special Provisions, including but not limited to, signs, barricades, cones, flashers, reader boards, and temporary pavement markings. Also included is providing traffic control supervisor, coordination with the local businesses to communicate information involving parking, street access or traffic issues. Measurement for maintenance and protection of traffic control shall be the ratio of the number of 1 working days completed to the total number of working days authorized in the Contract.
