I <br /> The unit price for this bid item shall include all labor, materials, equipment and incidentals <br /> necessary to furnish, machine-place, compact, roll and perform density tests on single or multiple <br /> lifts of HMA CL '/2" PG 64-22. A nominal compacted lift of HMA CL '/2" PG 64-22 shall not <br /> exceed 0.30-feet. <br /> Miscellaneous HMA used for pavement repair, thickened edges, extruded and wedge curbing, I <br /> placing and compacting pre-leveling, leveling and wearing courses, feathering pavement is <br /> considered incidental and is included in this bid item. If the Contractor elects to remove and <br /> replace mix as allowed by Section 5-04.3(11),the material removed will not be measured. 1 <br /> Adjusting existing valve boxes, manhole covers, catch basin grates, and other features to match <br /> finish pavement grade is considered incidental to this bid item. <br /> Furnishing and applying tack coat, prime coat,joint seal and crack sealing asphalt is considered <br /> incidental to this bid item. All costs for"Anti Stripping Additive" and"Compaction Adjustment" <br /> shall be included in the unit contract price per ton of the HMA. I <br /> Also specifically included in the unit price for this bid item is preparation for and maintenance of <br /> streets, parking areas, and all other surfaces identified to be paved prior to placement of final <br /> paving. Included are clearing, scarification, and subgrade preparation required to construct <br /> paving section as identified on the plans. <br /> The removal of asphalt between the trench edge and the sawcut (i.e. at driveways) shall be <br /> included in this bid item. <br /> Measurement for HMA CL '/2" PG 64-22 shall be by the ton, recorded on certified weight tickets <br /> per Section 1-09.1 for HMA CL '/2" PG 64-22 placed within the limits of dimensions defined in <br /> the Work or shown on the Plans, details or COE Standard Drawings, or as otherwise approved by <br /> the Engineer. No deduction will be made for the weight of asphalt binder, blending sand, mineral <br /> filler, or any other component of the mixture. <br /> This bid item shall not apply to work associated with the Temporary Access Drive.[M°d'fied per <br /> Addendum 411 <br /> I <br /> Bid Item 14—TEMPORARY PAVEMENT PATCH, 2-INCH HMA <br /> Specification Section 5-04 1 <br /> Measurement and Payment: Unit Price per Ton <br /> The unit price per ton for temporary pavement patch using either cold mix asphalt (MC250) or <br /> HMA CL '/2" PG 64-22 shall be full compensation for all labor, material, tools and equipment, <br /> including all incidental work necessary to satisfactorily complete the work as defined in the <br /> Standard Specifications and these specifications and as shown on the Contract Plans. <br /> The Contractor will be responsible for providing temporary pavement patch on all streets that <br /> currently have asphalt or cement concrete paving. <br /> The unit price for this bid item shall include all labor, hauling, compaction, materials and I <br /> equipment to furnish, place, compact and roll to conform to adjacent surfaces. Use of tack coat <br /> CSS-1 is considered incidental to this bid item. <br /> Also specifically included in the unit price for this bid item are costs to maintain the temporary <br /> patch in such a manner to prevent traffic hazards until the permanent pavement has been <br /> instal led.
