DIVISION 1 —GENERAL REQUIREMENTS Supplement Division 1 by adding the following: General Description and Location of Project (******) Work being performed includes constructing approximately 550 LF of new combined sewer pipe (30-inch to 72-inch dia.); removal of approximately 325 LF of existing combined sewer pipe (30- inch to 48-inch dia.); construction of five (5) separate underground flow regulator, screening, or ' monitoring concrete vaults; structural modifications within a large existing underground concrete siphon-pipe headworks facility, including demolition of the above-ground entry structure; manhole furnish and install mechanical screen equipment system at lift station #9; installation of temporary flow diversion and bypass systems; approximately 180 LF of existing 8-inch gravity sanitary sewer ' relocation and service re-connects; electrical power and control ductbanks; construction of approximately 600 LF of new 24-foot wide paved access drive; existing street and site asphalt pavement restoration; permanent fence installation,landscaping and performing all Work as required by the Contract, in accordance with the Contract Plans and Contract Provisions. The Project is in Everett, Washington, and is generally located on South 2nd Avenue/South Junction Avenue between Ravenna Street and South 3rd Avenue, South 3rd Avenue between Main Street and 41' Street, Main Street between South 3rd Avenue and South 2nd Avenue, Biglow Street between South 4th Street and South 3rd Street,and 49th Street between South 3rd Avenue and South 2nd Avenue. ' Design Engineer (******) Questions and inquiries about these Contract Documents should be directed in writing to the attention of Dave Voigt,City Project Manager,dvoigt@everettwa.gov. 1 Standard Specifications (******) All Work under this Contract shall be performed in accordance with the following Specifications except as may be exempted or modified by other sections of these Contract Documents. These Specifications are incorporated by reference,made a part of this Contract and shall control and guide all activities within this Project whether referred to directly,paragraph by paragraph. WSDOT/APWA"2016 Standard Specifications for Road, Bridge and Municipal Construction,"as amended by the APWA Supplements, hereinafter referred to as the"Standard Specifications." The Standard Specifications, as modified or supplemented by the Amendments to the Standard Specifications and these Special Provisions,all of which are made a part of the Contract Documents, shall govern all of the Work. The following latest edition of other specifications and standard plans shall apply to the extent to which they are called out in these Plans and Special Provisions. 1. City of Everett "Design and Construction Standards and Specifications," latest edition as found on the Web at http://everettwa.gov/DocumentCenterMew/243. 2. "Standard Plans for Road and Bridge Construction,"as prepared by WSDOT. 3. "Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices(MUTCD)." 4. APWA Standards. 5. AWWA Standards. Each Provision of these Special Provisions either supplements, modifies, or replaces the comparable Standard Specification, or is a new Provision. The deletion, amendment, alteration, or addition to any subsection or portion of the Standard Specifications is meant to pertain only to that particular portion of the section, and in no way should it be interpreted that the balance of the section does not apply.
