I <br /> I1-06.2 Acceptance of Materials <br /> 1-06.2(2)B Financial Incentive <br /> I Delete 1-06.2(2)B. <br /> 1-06.2(2)D Quality Level Analysis <br /> 11 Delete 1-06.2(2)D. <br /> 1-06.3 Manufacturer's Certificate of Compliance <br /> Supplement 1-06.3 by adding the following: <br /> /erg <br /> ill When authorized by the Standard Specifications or these Special Provisions and prior to use, <br /> the Engineer may accept certain Equipment on the basis of a Manufacturer's Certificate of <br /> Compliance as an alternate to Equipment inspection and testing. <br /> IAManufacturer's Certificate of Compliance shall be reserved for cases where compliance to <br /> Contract requirements is not readily determinable through inspection and testing of materials or <br /> Equipment. The Contractor shall provide properly authenticated documents to the City's <br /> Representative that the materials and Equipment comply with the Contract requirements. <br /> IThe Contractor shall pay all associated costs of providing each Manufacturer's Certificate of <br /> Compliance submitted for City acceptance. <br /> I The City reserves the right to refuse to accept Equipment on the basis of a Manufacturer's <br /> Certificate of Compliance. <br /> 1-06.3(1) Inspection at Point of Manufacturing <br /> The Contractor shall be responsible to reimburse the City for the costs of inspections at the <br /> point of manufacturing for inspections occurring outside of Whatcom, Skagit, Island, <br /> I Snohomish, King, Pierce and Thurston counties. Costs to be paid or reimbursed by the <br /> Contractor include, but are not limited to,travel, subsistence, labor and lodging expenses of the <br /> lig City Inspector. <br /> si <br /> Point of manufacturing inspection will be required if: <br /> I <br /> Inspection and testing of materials or Equipment in the vicinity of the Work by the City is <br /> not practicable, <br /> The Contractor requests the City to inspect and test material or Equipment at the point of <br /> manufacture, or <br /> The Standard Specifications or these Special Provisions require that inspection,testing or <br /> witnessing of tests take place at the point of manufacture. <br /> j 1-06.4 Handling and Storing Materials <br /> Supplement 1-06.4 by adding the following: <br /> Contractor shall store materials and Equipment so as to insure the preservation of their quality <br /> and fitness for the Work. Store Equipment and materials at location that facilitates inspection. <br /> The Contractor shall be responsible for damages, loss or casualty occurring to materials and <br /> Equipment until Final Acceptance. <br /> 1-06.6 Recycled Materials <br /> Delete 1-06.6 in its entirety and substitute with the following: <br /> The Contractor shallmake their best effort to utilize recycled materials in the construction of <br /> the project.
