5. The dimension on the width of the stairs is shown as 36 inches. Dimensions are to the <br /> face of framing. The code requires stairs to be a minimum of 36 inches clear to the face <br /> of the wall finish. <br /> 6. Provide Washington State Energy Code (WSEC) compliance information including <br /> U-value of all windows and doors, insulation value in all components (ceiling, walls, <br /> floor, below grade walls). Show insulation required in all existing exterior walls. <br /> 7. Provide minimum 100 CFM exhaust fan in the kitchen. The fan shall be vented to the <br /> exterior of the building. Fan shall not be vented to the east or west side of the structure. <br /> 8. Provide minimum 50 CFM exhaust fan, vented to the exterior in all bathrooms and in the <br /> lau^d,-y room. Show requirement on plans. <br /> 9. Water heater is required to be strapped for seismic loads and installed on non- <br /> compressible insulation. Show the requirements on the plans. Provide pressure relief <br /> valve to exterior. Show on plans. <br /> 10. Specify how furred walls in basement will be fireblocked per section R302.11 IRC. Show <br /> fireblocking in section drawings. <br /> 11. Basements, habitable attics and every sleeping room shall have at least one operable <br /> emergency escape and rescue opening. Identify egress windows on floor plans. <br /> 12. Specify which option from Table 406.2 of the Washington State Energy Code (WSEC) <br /> you are using to achieve the minimum credits (0.5) required for compliance with the <br /> WSEC. Show requirement on the plans, do not simply reference the option chosen. <br /> 13. Provide gravity calculations for beams supporting roof and ceiling joists.
