<br /> Bid Item 25 - Corporation Stop w/ Service Saddle, 3/4-inch
<br /> Bid Item 26 - Corporation Stop w/ Service Saddle, 1-inch
<br /> Measurement and Payment: Unit Price per Each (EA).
<br /> The unit contract price for Corporation Stop w/ Service Saddle, -Inch shall constitute full
<br /> compensation for all labor, materials, tools and equipment necessary for installation of a
<br /> new corporation stop and service saddle in accordance with Notes A and B of COE
<br /> Standard Drawing No. 501, including yet not limited to, furnishing and installing the service
<br /> saddle and corporation stop; trench excavation and dewatering, backfill and compaction;
<br /> and testing the connection.
<br /> Bid Item 27 - Water Service, 3/4-inch
<br /> Bid Item 28 - Water Service, 1-inch
<br /> Bid Item 29 - Water Service, 2-inch
<br /> Measurement and Payment: Unit Price per Lineal Foot (LF).
<br /> The unit contract price for Water Service -inch, shall constitute full compensation for all
<br /> labor, materials, tools and equipment necessary for new service lines continuous and
<br /> unspliced from the new main to a new meter setter in accordance with Parts C-G of COE
<br /> Standard Drawing No. 502A or 502C as the case may be, or Parts E-G of COE Standard
<br /> Drawing No. 502B, including yet not limited to, connecting to service connection saddle,
<br /> street pavement, concrete curb, concrete curb and gutter, concrete driveway, and concrete
<br /> sidewalk removal; furnishing, installing, and testing to corporation stop, valves. fittings. and
<br /> installation of service line, and appurtenances; providing a #10 copper tracer wire for
<br /> polyethylene pipe, compaction, connection to existing or new meter setter including fittings;
<br /> dewatering; testing; removal or abandonment of existing service connection.
<br /> Bid Item 30 - Topsoil, Type A & Seeding
<br /> Measurement and Payment: Unit Price per Square Yard (SY)
<br /> Measurement for providing 4-inch thick Topsoil, Type A shall be limited to dimensions and
<br /> work limits defined in the work descriptions for other bid items, shown on the Plans, details
<br /> or COE Standard Drawings or as otherwise approved by the Engineer.
<br /> The unit price per square yard for Topsoil, Type A & Seeding shall be full compensation for
<br /> all labor, compaction, material, tools, and equipment necessary to provide compacted 4
<br /> inches thick imported Topsoil, Type A for the Work as required, from a Contractor-supplied
<br /> source in accordance with the Standard Specifications and these Special Provisions.
<br /> The unit price for Topsoil, Type A & Seeding includes all costs for hauling, stockpiling,
<br /> placing, grading, compacting, seeding, and controlling moisture content.
<br /> Also to be included in this bid item shall be the cost of all subgrade preparation and grader
<br /> work, or any other equipment required to establish correct surfaces to proper grade before
<br /> the topsoil is placed, as well as all equipment required to spread and compact the topsoil
<br /> uniformly on the surface to be seeded. Also included shall be the costs for removing,
<br /> loading, hauling, and disposing of unsuitable or displaced materials.
<br /> Include cost of sprinkling during dry periods prior to placement of the topsoil and while
<br /> spreading and compacting the material along with turf establishment in the unit price for
<br /> this bid item.
<br /> Payment for Topsoil, Type A & Seeding will be determined by the square yard as measured
<br /> in place.
