Additional revisions or additions may be <br /> required by other departments (such as Utilities, Planning or Fire). All references refer to the <br /> 2015 International Building Code (IBC), 2015 International Residential Code (IRC) as amended <br /> by the State of Washington and/or Washington State Energy Code (WSEC) 2015 Edition, and <br /> adopted by the City of Everett, unless stated otherwise. <br /> In order for the processing of your application to continue, it will be necessary to <br /> provide the Building Division with two new copies of any pages modified as a resFAt. <br /> of changes due to corrections of drawings reflecting the corrections requested. <br /> 1. The plans shall clearly define the scope of work and show compliance with all applicable <br /> codes for the intended use of the space for which the permit is being applied. The space <br /> in the basement of this structure is not recognized by the City of Everett as an existing <br /> legitimate habitable space as defined by the International Residential Code (IRC). It <br /> does not meet the minimum requirements to be considered a habitable space. To create <br /> a second dwelling unit in the basement of this structure the minimum requirements of <br /> the IRC would have to be met. <br /> f <br /> i <br /> 2. Exterior walls located less than five feet from a property line are required to be one-hour <br /> fire-resistant construction in accordance with ASTM E 119 or UL 263 with exposure from <br /> both sides. R302.1(1) IRC. <br /> 3.
