4. Habitable spaces are required to have a minimum ceiling height of T-0 Provide <br /> building section showing the ceiling height of the basement. Submit construction <br /> drawings to show how the structure will be modified to obtain the minimum ceiling <br /> height required to be considered habitable space. If the basement is excavated to <br /> increase the ceiling height, provide a design prepared by a licensed WA State structural <br /> engineer for the modifications to the foundation. Show how the modifications will meet <br /> the requirements of the WSEC. <br /> 5. Below grade walls in conditioned spaces are required to be insulated to minimum R-21 <br /> on the interior per Washington State Energy Code (WSEC). Show furred walls on floor <br /> plan and provide section drawing showing construction of wall including Fireblocking per <br /> Section R302.11 IRC. <br /> 6. Ali spaces shall be labeled for the intended use of that space. Each space shall meet the <br /> minimum requirements of the International Residential Code <br /> I <br /> 7. Provide smoke alarms on each story and in basements as required per section R314 IRC, <br /> Show on plans. <br /> 8. Dwelling units are required to provide a whole house ventilation system per section <br /> M1507.3 of the IRC. Show which whole house ventilation system you are choosing to <br /> use and show the requirements of the ventilation system, do not simply reference the <br /> code section. <br /> 1 <br /> 9.
