Below are responses to each correction noted <br /> on the correction letter noted above and where located on the plans.. <br /> 1. Smoke alarms per R314 IRC have been added outside each bedroom on the Main Floor Plan <br /> sheet <br /> 2. Carbon monoxide alarms per R315 IRC have been added to the plans. <br /> 3. The Den and Living Room are provided with shared light from the rooms of the addition. <br /> Windows that are being provided are large enough to provide glazing and operable open area as <br /> required per R303.1. Light and air will be shared through openings in the walls between each <br /> rooms, equal to the area required. Reference new "Glazing Diagram" on sheet A5. This shows <br /> that the glazing provided meets the minimum area required. Openings between the rooms will <br /> allow the shared air and light to pass through to the inner space. <br /> 4. Site plan—building walls have been added to the plans <br /> 5. Window size has been corrected on the plan and elevation. <br /> 6. Foundation plan has been added to sheet A6, and note added to include 6 mil black vapor <br /> barrier with edges lapped 12" minimum. Also a note was added to describe how to connect the <br /> existing and new foundations together. <br /> 7. Wall Bracing is provided by%" plywood nailed at 6" on center per"Sheathing Fastening Notes" <br /> on sheet A3—Framing Plans. 'Bracing Panel Diagrams" have been added to sheet A3 to show <br /> where these are. <br /> 8. Typical minimum header size is (2) 2x8 Hem-Fir#1, and is noted on the framing plans, drawing 1 <br /> on sheet A5. <br /> 9. Typical minimum header note includes R10 rigid. <br /> 10. Attic and crawl space access has been added to the framing plans, sheet A3. <br /> Two new complete sets of plans, plus one reduced set sized to fit to 11x17 paper.
