September 9, 2015 <br />The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at <br />6:30 p.m., September 9, 2015, in the City Council Chambers of the <br />William E. Moore Historic City Hall, Council Vice President Murphy <br />presiding. Upon roll call, it was found that Council Members Roberts, <br />Moore, Murphy, Gipson, Stonecipher, and Tuohy were present. Mayor <br />Stephanson was excused, and President Bader was excused for late <br />arrival. <br />Council Member Tuohy led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />The minutes of the September 2, 2015, City Council meeting were <br />approved as printed. <br />MAYOR <br />Mayor Stephanson was excused. <br />COUNCIL <br />Vice President Murphy provided an update on the recruitment process for <br />the Everett Community Streets Initiative Coordinator position, which is <br />currently underway. <br />CITY ATTORNEY <br />City Attorney Iles had no comments. <br />ITIZEN COMMENTS <br />Sid Hensley, Everett, commented about the continued drug use in the city <br />of Everett and inquired about the Everett Police Department drug unit that <br />deals with drug abuse. Vice President Murphy stated that administration <br />would contact the police department to obtain additional information. <br />271 <br />
