Kirk Brooks
From: Heather Griffin
Sent: Wednesday, May 17, 2006 6:45 PM
To: Kirk Brooks
Cc: Souheil Nasr; Mark Sadler
Subject: Port of Everett North Marina Redevelopment
Kirk,
I didn't see an invitation to a meeting to make comments on the 100% plans so I will send mine by email
to you and copy others. Basically the permit submittal didn't have anything for me to look at. There was
no plan for relocation of the CSO line. They need to address impacts to the CSO line both during and after
construction.
Additionally the applicant proposes to construct additional sewer collection system without an agreement
regarding the capacity at Lift Stations 7 and 8. We have a verbal proposal from the Port's engineer to
treat and discharge (to the bay) stormwater flows from the Port Gardner Landing area in order to offset
the additional sanitary load at the North Marina project. However, there are no plans in this submittal for
that. Since the off-site (Port Gardner Landing) stormwater treatment is mitigation for impacts of this
project I think it would be easily forgotten if we don't make that a requirement for permit approval.
I will be out of the office from May 19th through the 29th. If you have questions please contact me on the
18th. Additionally I would appreciate receiving a copy of the City's official comments to Reid Middleton
prior to the next meeting with the Port on May 30th. That way I'll know what's going on.
Thanks Kirk,
Ifeather Griffin
425.257.7206
i
