CITY OF EVERETT <br /> CITY COUNCIL RESOLUTION <br /> RESOLUTION NO. '01St' <br /> A Resolution of the Everett City Council Denying the Request <br /> of Dave Hudson and Greg Morris to Amend the Land Use Map of <br /> the Everett General Plan for Property Located on the North- <br /> east Corner of Fleming Street and 57th Street. <br /> WHEREAS, Cascade Surveying and Engineering, Inc. , <br /> representative for property owners Dave Hudson and Greg <br /> Morris, hereinafter referred to as "applicant" , has made <br /> formal application for an amendment to the Land Use Map of <br /> the Everett General Plan and for the Rezone of property <br /> containing approximately 21,000 square feet located on the <br /> northeast corner of Fleming Street and 57th Street, the <br /> legal description of which is Lots 16 and 17, Block 3 , Plat <br /> of Beverly Hills, Division No. 4 ; and <br /> WHEREAS, the General Plan Land Use Designation of the <br /> subject property is "single family attached, 8 to 12 <br /> dwellings per gross acre" , and the zoning is R-2 (Single <br /> Family High Density) ; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Applicant has requested that the General <br /> Plan Land Use designation be changed to "Highway Commercial" <br /> and that the zoning be changed to B-2 (Community Shopping) ; <br /> 1 and <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held public hearings <br /> on April 25 , 1989 and July 6, 1989, at which the applicant <br /> and the public offered comments about the proposed General <br /> Plan Amendment and Rezone; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed the <br /> requested General Plan Amendment and Rezone and analyzed the <br /> proposal and various land use alternatives for consistency <br /> with the adopted General Plan policies for Commercial Land <br />
