(HWA) has performed a site exploration program, as well
as geotechnical engineering analyses in support of the proposed rockery wall replacement
located at the subject property in Everett, Washington. The approximate location of the project is
shown in the Vicinity Map, Figure 1.
Project Description
It is our understanding that the existing terraced rockeries, located along your western property
line, have deteriorated to the point that replacement of both rockeries is desirable. We
understand that the City of Everett requires a geotechnical engineering evaluation and associated
recommendations in order to issue a permit for rockery replacement. To facilitate the design of
the proposed rockery replacement, HWA was tasked with evaluating the existing site soils at the
wall location
Site Description
The project is located north of Mukilteo Boulevard and south of Madrona Avenue in Everett,
Washington. The site consists of predominantly residential single-family homes. The existing
residence is positioned into the hillside south of Madrona Avenue. The northern
portion of the property slopes steeply down to Madrona Avenue and is 21312 30th Drive SE
landscaped with two rockery retaining walls in a terraced configuration. The Suite 110
upper rockery wall is approximately 4 feet tall and constructed at a IH : IV Bothell,WA 98021.7010
Tel: 425.774.0106
Fax: 425.774.2714
www.hwageo.com
