September 23, 2015 <br />that it will invoke some federal funding and other things that may be <br />beneficial to the city in helping to curb homelessness. The city has also <br />set aside funds from its budget to deal with housing, shelter services, etc. <br />She requested that Administration provide more information on the <br />declaration of a state of emergency for the Public Safety meeting on <br />September 30, 2015. <br />CAA/CFO Bryant stated that she would see what they could find. <br />Council Member Tuohy commented that she was pleased to attend the <br />groundbreaking yesterday for WSU. She requested an update on the <br />city's new website, a timeline for extending online transactions, and the <br />city logo. <br />CAA/CFO Bryant stated that she would have Meghan Pembroke give the <br />city council an update on the website. She stated that she would find out <br />where the city is regarding the logo. <br />Council Member Tuohy reminded everyone that the Public Safety <br />subcommittee will meet next Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at 5:00 <br />p.m. in the City Council Chambers where they will discuss safety in the <br />streets with the Police Department. The subcommittee will also meet on <br />October 7, 2015 to talk about and review the Fitch study. <br />Council Member Bader expressed his pleasure regarding the President of <br />China's visit in Everett, and remarked that the groundbreaking event for <br />WSU was a great event. <br />MAYOR - APPOINTMENTS <br />Moved by Council Member Murphy, seconded by Council Member <br />Roberts to concur with the following appointments: <br />Diversity Board <br />Appointment of Julio Cortes to Position 1 for a four-year term <br />beginning October 1, 2015 and ending September 30, 2019 <br />
