RESOLUTION NO.c 9 /p2, <br /> A Resolution of the Everett City Council <br /> approving a request for amendment to the <br /> Everett Comprehensive General Plan for <br /> property located south of the Plat of Kenilworth <br /> Hills No. 1, west of Powder Mill Gulch, north <br /> of Seaway Boulevard, and east of the Paine <br /> Field main runway centerline. <br /> WHEREAS, in 1982 the City of Everett adopted the Southwest Everett <br /> Comprehensive Plan designating areas for various land uses in Southwest <br /> Everett and identifying an arterial network as a guide for development of that <br /> area of the City; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Everett adopted portions of a new Comprehensiv- <br /> General Plan in 1986 and 1987 which designate areas of the City fo <br /> residential, commercial and industrial uses; and <br /> WHEREAS, certain property located south of the Plat of Kenilworth <br /> Hills No. 1 west of Powder Mill Gulch was left undesignated until such time a� <br /> specific public hearings could be held to determine the appropriate land us <br /> for the property; and <br /> WHEREAS, Sigma Development, Inc. filed an application for an amendment <br /> Ii <br /> to the land use map of the Comprehensive General Plan requesting a designation <br /> of "Office and Industrial Park" for property generally located south of the <br /> Plat of Kenilworth Hills No. 1, west of Powder Mill Gulch, north of Seawa <br /> Boulevard, and east of the Paine Field main runway centerline; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Everett Planning Commission held public hearing <br /> and meetings on August 26, 1986, March 17, 1987, April 7, 1987, April 28, <br /> 1987, May 26, 1987, July 7, 1987, and September 15, 1987 to consider th <br /> requested amendment to the Comprehensive General Plan and approved a change ik <br /> the land use designation based upon findings contained in the Planning <br /> Commission Report to City Council dated July 7, 1987. <br />
