Y0 <br /> RESOLUTION <br /> RESOULUTION NO. , I Z .5 <br /> RESOLUTION STATING THE POLICY OF THE CITY OF EVERETT <br /> TRANSIT DIVISION REGARDING INCLUSION OF WOMEN-OWNED <br /> BUSINESS ENTERPRISES WITH DISADVANTAGED BUSINESS <br /> ENTERPRISES AND COMPLIANCE WITH THE SURFACE <br /> TRANSPORTATION AND UNIFORM RELOCATION ASSISTANCE ACT OF <br /> 1987 . <br /> WHEREAS, the United States Surface Transportation and <br /> Uniform Relocation Assistance Act of 1987 requires that <br /> Women-Owned Business Enterprises (WBE) be included with <br /> Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE) for the purposes of <br /> Urban Mass Transit Administration (UMTA) funded contract <br /> obligations; and <br /> WHEREAS the City of Everett Transit Division has attempted <br /> to meet its stipulated DBE and WBE goals in prior years with <br /> some success; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the <br /> City of Everett that the attached Policy Statement be signed <br /> by the Council President and submitted to UMTA as the policy <br /> of the City of Everett to which the Transit Division will <br /> adhere. <br /> 0696 <br /> T) t I t -1---1 <br /> Councilma Introducing <br /> Resolution <br /> PASSED AND APPROVED THIS ( < ,--a day of a-1-1 /54Af <br /> • <br /> Pres dent4Ak <br /> Coil <br /> 56 <br />
