PLANNING COMMISSION REPORT TO CITY COUNCIL <br /> SMA #3-87 <br /> PNB Fiber Optic Cable <br /> May 27, 1987 <br /> WHEREAS, an application was received by the City of Everett as <br /> follows: <br /> Applicant: Pacific Northwest Bell Telephone Co. <br /> (PNB) <br /> 1703 1600 Bell Plaza <br /> Seattle, WA 98191 <br /> Relationship to Property: Utility - in public right-of-way and <br /> easements <br /> Requested Action: Shoreline Substantial Development Permit <br /> d Location: From the intersection of Summit Ave. <br /> and East Marine View Dr. to the east <br /> side of I-5 and north to 12 th St. N.E. <br /> (the City limits) <br /> II Size: Approximately 1.5 acres <br /> Project: Placement of buried fiber optic cable <br /> and fiber optic cable in conduits from <br /> it Seattle to Bellingham, Washington. <br /> The portion within the City of Everett <br /> will extend southeast from the <br /> intersection of Summit Ave. and East <br /> Marine View Dr. in the public <br /> right-of-way to the I-5 bridge where it <br /> turns to the northeast. Conduit will <br /> be attached to the east side of the <br /> bridge to carry the cable over the <br /> river to a pier column on the north <br /> side of the bridge where it will again <br /> go to buried cable in the public <br /> right-of-way in an easterly direction. <br /> The buried cable will then continue in <br /> a northerly direction in an easement to <br /> 12th st.
