R <br /> 8• <br /> iiNOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RECOMMENDED BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION TO THE <br /> EVERETT CITY COUNCIL, that the Shoreline Permit be approved to allow the <br /> Pacific Northwest Bell Telephone Company to place buried fiber optic cable <br /> and fiber optic cable in conduits from the intersection of Summit Ave. and <br /> East Marine View Dr. to the east side of I-5, thence northerly to 12th St. <br /> !i S.E. (the north City limits) with the following conditions: <br /> 1. Detailed drawings in accordance with City design and construction <br /> standards shall be sumbitted to the Public Works Department showing <br /> utilities and location of conduit cable. Public Works Department <br /> approval of these drawings is required prior to any permits. <br /> 2. The proposal is in the location of a possible I-5 interchange. The <br /> proponent is required by the issuance of the Shoreline Permit, SEPA <br /> approval and Public Works Permit to relocate the cable and conduit at <br /> (PNB) expense by written request by either the State or the City of <br /> Everett, should the interchange be constructed. <br /> 3. Clean up area and restore vegetation in trenched areas to its natural <br /> state. <br /> 4. Construction or substantial progress toward construction of a project <br /> must be undertaken within 2 years after final approval of the permit, <br /> and completed within 5 years. If the project has not been completed <br /> in this time span the permit will be reviewed by the Planning <br /> Department who will do one of the following: <br /> - extend the permit for one year, or <br /> - terminate the permit. <br /> INFORMATION FOR DEVELOPER: <br /> I 1. In response to the proposed Shore Line permit application of Pacific <br /> Northwest Bell for placing fiber optic cable in conduits, GTE <br /> Northwest stated they have aerial and buried plant facilities along <br /> selected areas of the proposed route. However, they do not <br /> anticipate any future problems with the installation. <br /> GTE Northwest does request that every effort be made by the proponent <br /> not to damage or disturb these facilities.
