The site is located on Smith
Island, on the west side of SR 529 and south of Union Slough. The future development
will involve the construction of industrial buildings totaling approximately 1,300,000
square feet in area.
The State's comments on this review are as follows:
We have no objection to the subject proposal, but further development of the site
beyond the proposed grading operation will require another evaluation to determine
what traffic impacts are generated by the development and what mitigation measures
will be needed, if any, to state highways in the area. •
Since the proposal involves a significant amount of filling material, it is crucial that
SR 529 and adjacent streets be kept clear of dirt and debris which constitutes a
safety hazard to vehicles traveling on the highway.
Thank you for the opportunity to comment on this proposal. If you have any
questions, please feel free to contact me (236-4517) or Mr. Ramin Pazooki (236-4307)
of my staff.
•ncerely,
DONALD HURTER
Developer Coordinator - North
RP/cp
P/\
t
