I. The following projects as recommended by Lowell <br /> residents be implemented or constructed with the <br /> approximately $75,935 available through the Community <br /> Development Block Grant Program: <br /> A. Getchell House - Allocate $71,935 of CDBG funds <br /> toward the purchase and renovation of the Getchell <br /> House. <br /> B. Miscellaneous Projects - Allocate $4,000 of CDBG <br /> funds for historical signs, neighborhood cleanup, <br /> and committed paint projects. <br /> II. The Mayor be instructed to have a Plans and Systems Ordinance <br /> prepared and presented to the City Council which will <br /> officially authorize and fund the development of contract <br /> plans, specifications, and detailed cost estimates for the <br /> improvements listed above. <br /> III. Projects A and B are not eligible for matching funds from the <br /> street overlay fund. <br /> IV. If there is not substantial progress toward the purchase and/or <br /> renovation of the Getchell House by December 1, 1986: or any <br /> proceeds from the sale of the Getchel House are returned to the <br /> city: that the City Council authorize the Planning Department <br /> to hold a neighborhood-wide meeting to allow residents to vote <br /> for either street improvements or drainage improvements in <br /> order to expend the CDBG funds which were earmarked for the <br /> Getchell House. <br /> ')Iga` <br /> Councilman Introducing Resolution <br /> Passed and approved this c:2_ 3 day of J y, 1986 <br /> a ; <br /> ncil President <br /> 2060G <br /> -1- <br />
