Code Compliance Actions <br /> Case Number: 07-0948 2227 WETMORE AVE <br /> Date: 11/7/07 Spring Wathen <br /> Initial Description: Operating Business- Construction of garage w/o permits. <br /> ACTION DATE <br /> ACTION TYPE ACTION DESCRIPTION <br /> 11/7/07 Received information from Ted Budden, Building Division that a garage <br /> INITIAL INSPECTION has been built without permits. A painting business "The Hungrey <br /> Painter" is being operated from this residential property. One truck <br /> associated with the business is parked on the rear property and has a <br /> flat tire (inoperable) All other work vans are usually parked on the <br /> street in front of the residence. Items are seen on the property that are <br /> associated with a painting business. <br /> 11/8/07 Discussed my findings with Ted Budden, Building Division. Because <br /> PHONE CALL the garage is complete, Ted is requesting enforcement action by this <br /> dept. <br /> Received a copy (via fax) of Teds Report and request for enforcement <br /> action <br /> 11/14/07 E-mail correspondence with Terri Gilbert, City Clerks Office. According <br /> E-MAIL CORRESPONDEN( to Terri, there is no business listing for"Hungry Painter". <br /> 11/15/07 Letter issued by Terri Gilbert, City of Everett Business Tax Division <br /> WARNING LETTER advising of BL requirements providing application for BL and HO. <br /> 11/15/07 All vehicles are currently licensed so the warning letter address only <br /> WARNING LETTER the garage construction w/o permit and operating a home business. <br /> Terri Gilbert, City Clerks office will notify Mr. Rehberg of the BL <br /> requirements. <br /> Compliance required 12-7-07. <br /> 12/11/07 1 received a call from Tim Rehberg regarding the notice received. Tim <br /> PHONE CALL claims that the garage is less than 120 sq ft so would not require a <br /> permit. I advised him that the information I received was from the <br /> building dept so he may want to contact them directly. I also advised <br /> that if determined that a permit is not needed, he will still be required to <br /> meet setbacks. I also advised him that he can not have nay exterior <br /> evidence of a business. Mr. Rehberg said he would contact Building <br /> and Planning. Check back in 2 weeks. 12-27-07. <br /> 1/9/08 Shed does not appear as though it is or ever can meet side yard <br /> COMPLIANCE INSPECTIOI setbak of 5'. Need to check for permits. Also check for BL.
