June 28, 2017 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at <br /> 12:30 p.m., June 28, 2017, in the City Council Chambers of the William E. <br /> Moore Historic City Hall, Council President Tuohy presiding. Upon roll call, <br /> it was found that Mayor Stephanson and Council Members Roberts, <br /> Murphy, Franklin, Bader, and Tuohy were present. Council Member <br /> Stonecipher was excused. Council Member Moore was expected to be a <br /> few minutes late. <br /> Council Member Murphy led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the June 21, 2017, City Council meeting were approved as <br /> printed. Council Member Roberts abstained from the vote. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Stephanson proclaimed June 28, 2017, as "Steve and Jo Saunders <br /> Appreciation Day" and presented a proclamation to Ed Petersen, President <br /> of the Rotary Club of Everett. <br /> Council Member Moore entered the Council Chambers at 12:32 p.m. <br /> Ed Petersen, on behalf of the Rotary Club of Everett, presented a $100,000 <br /> check to Catholic Housing Services for a community room in the low-barrier <br /> housing building in honor of Steve and Jo Saunders. <br /> Randy Hansen, member of the Rotary Club of Everett, spoke about Steve <br /> and Jo Saunders commitment to the community and presented a picture <br /> from Steve's office to be placed in the community room of the building. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Bader provided a liaison report on his attendance at the <br /> Everett Historical Commission meeting last night. <br /> Council Member Franklin thanked the Rotary Club of Everett for their <br /> support of the Safe Streets program. She reported on her attendance at the <br /> Pinehurst-Beverly Park Neighborhood meeting. Council Member Franklin <br /> 213 <br />
