July 5, 2017 <br /> are working toward incorporating recommendations and moving the work <br /> forward. <br /> Council Member Murphy stated he would like to learn more about the <br /> Anchor Institutions Program. <br /> Committee Member Sharita Burton provided brief remarks about the <br /> benefits of the Anchor Institutions Program model. <br /> Discussion took place regarding the need to prioritize the Committee's <br /> recommendations. <br /> Mayor Stephanson asked that Administration be given time to review the <br /> committee's work, and return to Council to discuss the highest and most <br /> urgent needs so that a work plan may be developed. <br /> President Tuohy suggested scheduling a Council retreat or work session in <br /> the next couple of months to prioritize committee recommendations, and to <br /> discuss the topic of housing, may be a good place to start. <br /> Council Member Roberts spoke about the importance of taking action to <br /> move this work forward and to possibly remand, at least in part, to the <br /> Planning Commission as a foundation document for the work the <br /> commission will do in the future. <br /> CONSENT ITEMS: <br /> Moved by Council Member Bader, seconded by Council Member <br /> Roberts, to approve the following consent items: <br /> RESOLUTION - CLAIMS <br /> To adopt Resolution No. 7139 acknowledging the payment of audited <br /> and approved claims against the City of Everett in the amount of <br /> $2,210,769.99 for the period of June 17, 2017, through June 23, 2017. <br /> 222 <br />
