October 7, 2015 <br />The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at <br />6:30 p.m., October 7, 2015, in the City Council Chambers of the William <br />E. Moore Historic City Hall, President Bader presiding. Upon roll call it <br />was found that Mayor Stephanson and Council Members Roberts, <br />Murphy, Gipson, Bader, Stonecipher, and Tuohy were present. Council <br />Member Moore was excused. <br />Council President Bader thanked Fitch & Associates for their attendance <br />this evening at the Public Safety Subcommittee. He also announced that <br />action item no. 19 had been pulled from today's Council agenda. <br />Council Member Murphy led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />The minutes of the September 30, 2015, City Council meeting were <br />approved as printed. Council Member Moore was excused and Council <br />Member Bader abstained from the vote. <br />Mayor Stephanson reminded the public that they are welcome to attend <br />the Monte Cristo Awards ceremony tomorrow, October 8, 2015, at 6:30 <br />p.m. at the Everett Performing Arts Center. <br />COUNCIL <br />Council Member Murphy commented on agenda item number 19, which <br />was pulled from the agenda and involves the Touchstone Hotel project. <br />He requested that Touchstone representatives, the contractor, and <br />building inspector be notified that until any proposed changes are <br />approved by Council, the way the building is being constructed needs to <br />be in accordance with the approved plan. <br />Mayor Stephanson stated staff had been given that direction and the City <br />Attorney is currently working with Touchstone. He noted any changes <br />proposed will come back before the Council. <br />302 <br />
