Owners Russel Hermes and Bradley Seltzer of 1812 Building, LLC, have requested the Watson's Bakery Building at 1812 Hewitt Avenue be placed on the Everett Register. Built in 1910, the building is a contributing structure in the Hewitt Avenue National Register District. It is significant as an example of a common commercial building of the early 20th Century and reflects the growth of the Hewitt Avenue commercial district during that time. The Everett Historical Commission held a public hearing regarding the nomination on September 22, 2015, and recommends placement of the Watson's Bakery Building on the Everett Register of Historic Places. RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): Adopt a resolution placing the Watson's Bakers- Building at 1812 Hewitt Avenue on the Everett Register of Historic Places.
