0 <br /> t <br /> 1 RESOLUTION NO. Q603 <br /> 2 A RESOLUTION authorizing the demolition of a structure <br /> situated at 2006 West Casino . <br /> 3 <br /> 4 WHEREAS, the City of Everett Building Official has found that the <br /> 5 building which is located at 2006 West Casino is a substandard building <br /> 6 pursuant to the Uniform Housing Code; and <br /> 7 WHEREAS, the City of Everett Building Official has found that the <br /> 8 building which is located at 2006 West Casino is a dangerous building <br /> 9 pursuant to the Uniform Code for the Abatement of Dangerous Buildings ; and <br /> 10 WHEREAS, the City Council has found that the Building Official <br /> 11 issued an Order requiring the owners to repair or demolish the building; <br /> 12 and <br /> 13 WHER=.AS, the City Council finds that the repairs or demolition have <br /> 14 not taken place as was required in the Order; and <br /> 15 WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the Order issued by the <br /> 16 Building Official was properly served on the owners of the property in <br /> 17 question: and <br /> 18 WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the Building Official has the <br /> 19 authority to recommend this action pursuant to the Uniform Housing Code and <br /> 20 the Uniform Code for the Abatement of Dangerous Buildings; and <br /> 21 WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the owners have been given <br /> 22 notice of this council meeting; and <br /> 23 WHEREAS, the City Council finds that there has been no appeal of <br /> 24 the Order issued by the Building Official and that the appeal period has <br /> 25 expired; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council , upon due consideration, deems it in the <br /> 26 <br /> best interest of the health, safety and welfare of the public that a <br /> 27 <br /> 28 resolution be adopted requiring the demolition of the building : <br /> 29 <br /> 30 <br /> 31 <br /> 32 <br />
