July 19, 2017 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 <br /> p.m., July 19, 2017, in the City Council Chambers of the William E. Moore <br /> Historic City Hall, Council President Tuohy presiding. Upon roll call, it was <br /> found that Council Members Roberts, Moore, Murphy, Franklin, Bader, <br /> Stonecipher, and Tuohy were present. Mayor Stephanson was excused. <br /> Council Member Franklin led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the July 12, 2017, City Council meeting were approved as <br /> printed. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Stephanson was excused. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Franklin reminded the public that the Project Homeless <br /> Connect event will happen on Thursday. She stated she attended the Junior <br /> Police Academy graduation and she provided an update on the Safe Streets <br /> Plan and the timeline for the supportive housing facility. <br /> Council Member Roberts stated that the Transportation Advisory <br /> Committee (TAC) will meet on Thursday. <br /> Council Member Murphy provided a liaison report from the Lowell <br /> neighborhood meeting and announced Lowell Days will take place on <br /> August 12 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. <br /> ADMINISTRATION UPDATE ON PRIOR BUSINESS <br /> Debra Bryant, Administration, asked Police Chief Dan Templeman to <br /> provide an update on police staffing. <br /> Chief Templeman provided an update on current staffing levels and a <br /> recruitment update. <br /> 234 <br />
