Question 2 <br /> Are costs associated with Electrical scope within the Utility Room, Elevator Machine Room, <br /> Elevator Control Room, Elevator Pit, Elevator Landing (including distribution equipment, feeders, <br /> mechanical equipment connections, lighting, power devices & conduit/wire) to be included in <br /> Schedule B Bid Items B19 (Bridge and Tower Electrical, Conduit, Wiring and Junction Boxes) <br /> and B22 (Bridge Tower Lighting)? <br /> Answer—Yes, all items associated with Elevator cost are in Schedule B. <br /> Question 3 <br /> Addendum 3 drawing E2.02 added a detail 6/E2.02 (connections to steel bridge, structural <br /> steel, truss, stringers). What fixture type is this detail associated with? <br /> Answer—Detail 6 on Drawing E2.02 is a generic detail for all fixtures mounted to structural <br /> steel intended to highlight the introduction of UHMW-PE separators between dissimilar metals. <br /> Question 4 <br /> E2.01 Detail 4 is a raceway support detail intended to represent the typical hanging support <br /> system. This detail identifies fiberglass tube spacers and 1-1/5"fiberglass strut base. General <br /> notes (on most plans including those issued in Addendum 3) specify stainless steel unistrut <br /> support, hangers, rods, hardware, fasteners etc. What material will be used? <br /> Answer—Revised drawing does not reference any fiberglass material. Addendum No. 3 <br /> provides important changes to the raceway support detail. <br /> Question 5 <br /> The surface mounted junction boxes (tap boxes) are not specifically identified by a WSDOT <br /> detail. Please provide a reference to the applicable WSDOT detail and/or provide the box <br /> size/measurements for all tap boxes on the bridge Utility Level. <br /> Answer - Junction boxes shall be sized by contractor in the field; contractor to follow WSDOT <br /> Specifications. No specific WSDOT junction box detail has been referenced in the plans or <br /> contract provisions. <br /> Question 6 <br /> Would the City consider using a force account item similar to Bid Item A99 — Removing Shaft <br /> Obstructions in order to cover obstructions that impede cofferdam installation? <br /> Answer - The Contractor shall include risk associated with cofferdam obstructions in the bid <br /> price. See revised plan sheet S0.02 for clarification and additional requirements regarding <br /> cofferdam removal. Bid Item No. A88 shall include all costs for installation of the cofferdam, <br /> removal of obstructions, and removal of the upper portion of the cofferdam per revised sheet <br /> S0.02 submitted with this addendum, in addition to all other requirements in the existing <br /> contract documents. <br /> Question 7 <br /> Are there conflicting statements in the special provisions related to cost/payment for the <br /> railroad crossing to be built: It appears that S70 lines 50 through 52 and S71 lines 1 through 6 <br /> conflicts with page S72 lines 14 through 27? <br /> Answer — No these statements do not conflict.
