1 Controlled Density Fill: Controlled Density Fill shall be used in lieu of select <br /> 2 trench backfill for fill above pipe zone at all street crossings and other areas, as <br /> 3 directed by the Engineer, where high density backfill is required to prevent <br /> 4 settlement of roadway pavement patches. <br /> 5 <br /> 6 Controlled Density Fill shall be in accordance with Section 2-09.3(1)E. <br /> 7 <br /> 8 7-08,3(4) Plugging Existing Pipe <br /> 9 Section 7-08.3(4) is deleted and replaced with the following: <br /> 10 <br /> 11 (City of Everett GSP) <br /> 12 Where shown on the plans, existing sanitary sewer and storm drainage pipe shall <br /> 13 be removed or plugged and sealed with cement grout and abandoned in place. <br /> 14 <br /> 15 7-08.3(5) Submittals <br /> 16 (******) <br /> 17 Contractor shall submit a work plan to Engineer for review and approval, stamped <br /> 18 by a licensed Washington State Professional Engineer, showing the schedule, <br /> 19 sequencing, products, trench support system, and arrangement of pipes and <br /> 20 appurtenances to be installed in West Marine View Drive prior to ordering materials. <br /> 21 <br /> 22 Measurement <br /> 23 Section 7-08.4 is deleted and replaced with the following: <br /> 24 <br /> 25 (******) <br /> 26 Gravel Borrow shall be measured by the ton, including haul. <br /> 27 <br /> 28 Controlled Density Fill shall be measured in place by the cubic yard to the neat lines as <br /> 29 shown on the plans. <br /> 30 <br /> 31 Natural Sand shall be measured by the ton, including haul. <br /> 32 <br /> 33 All costs associated with plugging and abandoning existing pipe shall be included in the <br /> 34 unit contract price for pipe and no additional compensation will be allowed. Where <br /> 35 abandoned pipe and manholes are to be filled with controlled density fill, the cost of this <br /> 36 work shall be measured and paid for by the unit price bid per cubic yard for controlled <br /> 37 density fill. <br /> 38 <br /> 39 Crushed Surfacing Base Course shall be measured by the ton, including haul. <br /> 40 <br /> 41 Foundation Material Class A shall be measured by the ton, including haul. <br /> 42 <br /> 43 Excavation of the trench will be measured as Structure excavation Class B including <br /> 44 haul, by the cubic yard as specified in Section 2-09.
