What type of surface <br /> restoration is to be done in this area? <br /> Answer—The pavement restoration is to match the demolition extent. The ramp should be <br /> reconstructed in kind. <br /> Question 2 <br /> Please clarify the Roadway Excavation, Roadway Excavation Including Haul and Embankment <br /> measurement and payment. <br /> Answer— From Special Provisions 2-03.4, "General excavation for establishing final grades as <br /> indicated in the drawings shall be measured as Roadway Excavation or Roadway Excavation <br /> Including Haul by in situ cubic yards." The "including haul"signifies offsite disposal. <br /> "Embankment Compaction"is used where embankments are created with acceptable native <br /> materials. <br /> Question 3 <br /> What is the curb detail for the new curb around the parking lot of the Port property and along <br /> Grand Avenue where the new sidewalk and monuments are to go? <br /> Answer—The curb on the interior of the port property should be type E-2 Curb per COE Std <br /> Dtl 305C. The curb and gutter on Grand Avenue should be type A-1 curb and gutter per COE <br /> Std Dtl 305A. <br /> Question 4 <br /> Will a profile of the precast unit retaining wall — per Note 5 on Sheet No. 31 (Drawing L1.92) — <br /> be provided? <br /> Answer— See Sheet No. 35 (Drawing L4.01) for a detail elevation callout that reads, "2/L4.01 <br /> SIM" (or similar). No additional profile for this southwest wall will be provided. <br /> Question 5 <br /> What is the U1 Bearing With Tower shown on Sheet 84 (Drawing 51.17) to be paid for under? <br /> Answer—The payment for the U1 Bearing is considered incidental to the cost of the Structural <br /> Low Alloy Steel - Utility Bridge (Bid Item No. A95).
