Window treatments. Building facades shall employ techniques to recess or <br />project individual windows above the ground floor at least 2 inches from the facade or <br />incorporate window trim at least 4 inches in width that features color that contrasts with <br />the base building color. Exceptions will be considered by the City where buildings <br />employ distinctive window or facade treatment that adds visual interest to the building. <br />Buildings over six -stories in height are exempt from this requirement to accommodate <br />common construction/ architectural practices for tower structures. <br />An example of recessed windows on upper floors. <br />
