The policies in this section provide the opportunity to <br /> meet the housing needs of the community without serious disruptions <br /> of existing neighborhoods. <br /> Pride in these neighborhoods is reflected in the strength of <br /> numerous community organizations, the major private investments in <br /> rehabilitation of existing single-family homes, and the decision by <br /> the community to invest substantial portions of its Community <br /> Development Block Grant funds in neighborhood improvements and <br /> assisted housing rehabilitation. <br /> 7 <br />
