1
Cross Reference Implementation: This is the implied policy of our current method
Page Number of determining the number of allowable .units in
subdivisions. These requirements are set forth
in Everett's Subdivision Code, Zoning Code, and
Street Improvement Ordinance.
III. ENVIRONMENTALLY SENSITIVE AREAS
16A Preface:
Everett benefits from a diverse and attractive natural environment.
Waterfront is available along Port Gardner Bay, the Snohomish River,
two fresh water lakes, and numerous streams. Surprisingly, with 90
years of urban development, there are still significant stands of
second growth forest and natural stream corridors. Over the years,
enforcement of Federal, State and local laws have improved the
quality of Everett's air, water, and visual appearance, making
Everett's overall environment among the Puget Sound area's finest.
It is due in no small part to this excellent environmental setting
that Everett will be attractive to future growth. It is this same
environment which makes development in Everett challenging and
potentially hazardous. The intent of the City is to continue to
protect and improve its environment for the benefit of all.
1 '
