alternate to the required clearance between the Type I hood duct and combustible construction <br /> is two layers of tested one-hour fire-resistance rated duct-wrap identified with the test assembly <br /> on the drawings. <br /> 5. An interior elevation of the Type I hood should indicate the following: <br /> a. Six inch horizontal extension of the Type I hood beyond the equipment served, per IMC section <br /> 507.12. <br /> b. 18 inch vertical and liorizontal extension of stainless steel finishes on the wall behind the <br /> equipment served by the Type I hood, per the exception to IMC section 507.9. <br /> 6. Separate suppression drawings are to be submitted for permit for the Type I hood. <br /> Applicable codes include: 2006 International Building Code(IBC),the 2006 International Fire Code(IFC),the <br /> 2006 International Mechanica] Code (IMC), tl�e 2006 Washington State Energy Code(WSEC),the 2006 <br /> Washin��ton State Ventilation and Indoor Air Quality Code(VIAQ), the 2003 Accessible and Usable Buildings <br /> and Facilities A117.1-2003 (ICC/ANSI) and the City of Everett Municipal Code, including Chapter 16.76, <br /> Automatic Fire Detection and Fire Suppression Systems. All codes referenced, as adopted by the City of <br /> Everett, should include current revisions by the State of Washington. These comments address building issues <br /> only.
