A proposed Public Development Corporation (PDC) chartered by City Council and
comprised of public officials and local private interests would provide the
community with a new development tool embracing both public and private
development capabilities.
With the Henry M. Jackson Foundation, the City will pursue civic center plans
designed to honor the late Senator and provide for the people of Everett a cultural,
conference, library and urban park facility in the City's core.
Finally, the City looks to other public agencies, notably the Port of Everett,
Snohomish County and Paine Field officials, to join in recognizing that the
foundation to our quality of life is a sound economy.
