Track I. Industrial Development & Trade <br /> The City must address, along with other public and private agencies and <br /> organizations, the image of the community and region. An image building <br /> campaign educating and orienting key opinion leaders in the development industry <br /> statewide must be undertaken. <br /> A. With the Snohomish County Economic Development Council, Port of Everett <br /> and Snohomish County Airport, the City will move vigorously to market <br /> available industrial sites in Southwest Everett, along the waterfront, the <br /> Paine Field vicinity and Smith Island. <br /> B. Greater concern and attention must be given to existing Everett area firms. <br /> It will be through their growth that significant job generation will be realized. <br /> A program of job retention and cultivation will be established to nurture <br /> growing businesses in the community. <br /> C. With the Port of Everett and the Snohomish County Economic Development <br /> Council, the City will pursue, trade opportunities more aggressively with <br /> greater participation and involvement in trade shows, trade missions and <br /> marketing. <br /> D. Partnership: City - EDC, Port and Airport. <br />
