The attached permit(without appendices) authorizes the City of <br /> Everett to continue use of United States Forest Service land at current levels for the next 10 years. It <br /> authorizes the Parks and Community Services Department to lead guided hike, snowshoe, ski,backpack and <br /> canoeing trips on United States Forest Service property. The permit fee is based on 3% of gross revenues <br /> generated by trips utilizing United States Forest Service lands. The permit fee for 2017 is estimated to be <br /> $625.00. This fee is incorporated into the annual Parks Budget through the formal budget process. <br /> Participant fees cover the costs of this annual permit fee. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(Exact action requested of Council): <br /> Authorize the Mayor to sign the Forest Service Special Use Permit for Outfitting and Guiding between the <br /> United States Department of Agriculture and the City of Everett. <br />
