Baker,Darrington,Skykomish, <br /> Snoqualmie, Hood Canal,Cowlitz Valley,and Mt.Adams Ranger Districts and Mt.St.Helens NVM of the MT BAKER- <br /> SNOQUALMIE NATIONAL FOREST,GIFFORD PINCHOT NATIONAL FOREST,OLYMPIC NATIONAL FOREST, <br /> described as and as shown on the map of the authorized area,attached as Appendix A.The above-described area shall <br /> be referred to as the"permit area." <br /> The purpose of this permit is to authorize the following outfitting and guiding activities: <br /> Day hiking,backpacking,canoeing,cross country skiing and snowshoeing on the Mt Baker Snoqualmie <br /> and Olympic National Forests. <br /> and assign use as follows: - <br /> 480 priority use service days for Mt.Baker Snoqualmie National Forest. <br /> 50 priority use service days for Olympic National Forest <br /> This use will be exercised as described in the five-year operating plan. <br /> The following appendices are attached to and made a part of this permit <br /> APPENDIX A-Map of Authorized Area <br /> APPENDIX B-Five-year Operating Plan,dated December 2016 and approved annually <br /> APPENDIX C-Trip Itinerary <br /> APPENDIX D-Estimated Fee Determination Sheet,approved annually <br /> APPENDIX E-Actual Use Report Format <br /> APPENDIX F-Authorized Officer's Outfitter and Guide Performance Evaluation Criteria <br /> APPENDIX G-Other Tips for camping in bear country . <br /> 1.AUTHORITY AND GENERAL TERMS OF THE PERMIT • <br /> A.AUTHORITY.This permit is issued pursuant to Federal Lands Recreation Enhancement Act, 16 U.S.C.6802(h),and <br /> 36 CFR Part 251,Subpart B,as amended, and is subject to their provisions. <br /> B.AUTHORIZED OFFICER.The authorized officer is the Forest Supervisor or a subordinate officer with delegated <br /> authority. <br /> C.TERM.This permit shall expire at midnight on 12/31/2026. Expiration of this permit shall not require notice,a decision <br /> document,or any environmental analysis or other documentation. <br /> D.RENEWAL.This permit may be renewed upon expiration,provided the use is consistent with the applicable forest land <br /> and resource management plan, applicable laws and regulations,and the terms of this permit,and the holder has <br /> performed satisfactorily under this permit,as demonstrated by acceptable annual performance reviews.
