August 9, 2017 <br /> Council Member Stonecipher commented on the National Night Out events <br /> and thanked city staff for their work. <br /> Council Member Roberts provided a liaison report on his attendance at the <br /> Snohomish County Cities meeting. He also announced that the Snohomish <br /> County Tomorrow annual meeting will be held on September 27, 5:30 p.m. <br /> to 8 p.m., and invited all council members to attend. <br /> President Tuohy thanked city staff and citizens for organizing National Night <br /> Out. She also commented on the 41st Washington State Public <br /> Transportation Conference, Expo and Roadeo, which took place in Everett <br /> last week. <br /> President Tuohy called for a motion to authorize the following street closure. <br /> STREET CLOSURE — FUNKO RETAIL STORE GRAND OPENING <br /> Moved by Council Member Moore, seconded by Council Member <br /> Franklin, to authorize the closure of Wetmore Avenue, between <br /> Everett Avenue and Hewitt Avenue, California Avenue between Colby <br /> Avenue and 2700 block of California Avenue on August 19, 2017, 12 <br /> a.m. to 9 p.m., for the Grand Opening Celebration of the new Funko <br /> retail store, sponsored by Funko. <br /> Roll was called with all council members voting yes, except Council Member <br /> Murphy who was excused. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> ADMINISTRATION UPDATE ON PRIOR BUSINESS <br /> There was no report from administration. <br /> CITY ATTORNEY <br /> City Attorney Iles had no comments. <br /> 259 <br />
