CITY OF EVERETT SPECIAL PROVISIONS
<br /> Bid Item 8 - Roadway Excavation Incl. Haul I
<br /> Measurement and Payment: Unit Price per Cubic Yard
<br /> The unit price per cubic yard for excavation shall be full compensation for all labor,
<br /> compaction, material, incidentals, tools, and equipment necessary to grade the site and
<br /> remove asphalt concrete pavement, cement concrete, curbs and sidewalks where
<br /> specifically indicated on the plans and as directed by the City. Also, incidental to this Bid
<br /> item is excavation and removal of any aggregate base material and site grading of soil
<br /> material necessary to reach design elevations for subgrade of restoration paving or finished
<br /> elevation of site grading. Sawcutting of asphalt or concrete pavement is also incidental to
<br /> this bid item.
<br /> All materials and items of work required by the Plans, Standard Specifications, Special and
<br /> Standard Provisions, or otherwise necessary for complete asphalt concrete pavement
<br /> replacement that are not specifically listed among the bid items in the proposal shall be
<br /> considered incidental to the listed bid items. No further payment will be made.
<br /> Bid Item 9 - Sheeting, Shoring, Bracing, and Noise Wall Protection at R4 Site '
<br /> Measurement and Payment: Lump Sum
<br /> Measurement for sheeting, shoring, bracing, and noise wall protection will be based on the 11
<br /> percentage of total Work complete, by dollar value, at the time of measurement.
<br /> Payment for sheeting, shoring, bracing, and noise wall protection will be made at the
<br /> measured percentage amount for the pay period times the lump sum amount bid. Said
<br /> payment will be complete compensation for all equipment, labor, materials, hauling,
<br /> planning, design, engineering, submittals, furnishing and constructing, and removal and
<br /> disposal of such temporary sheeting, shoring, and bracing completed as required under the
<br /> provisions of any permits and in the requirements of OSHA and RCW Chapter 49.17
<br /> required to complete this item of Work in conformance with the Contract Documents. It
<br /> also includes complete compensation for all equipment, labor, materials, hauling, planning,
<br /> design, engineering, submittals, and any other work required to protect the noise wall for
<br /> the duration of construction in conformance with Contract Documents. Contactor shall
<br /> submit shoring plan within 10 working days of notice to proceed.
<br /> Bid Item 10 - Sheeting, Shoring, and Bracing at R39 Site I
<br /> Measurement and Payment: Lump Sum
<br /> Measurement for sheeting, shoring, and bracing will be based on the percentage of total I
<br /> Work complete, by dollar value, at the time of measurement.
<br /> Payment for sheeting, shoring, and bracing will be made at the measured percentage
<br /> amount for the pay period times the lump sum amount bid. Said payment will be complete 1
<br /> compensation for all equipment, labor, materials, hauling, planning, design, engineering,
<br /> submittals, furnishing and constructing and removal and disposal of such temporary
<br /> sheeting, shoring, and bracing completed as required under the provisions of any permits
<br /> and in the requirements of OSHA and RCW Chapter 49.17 required to complete this item of

<br /> Measurement and Payment: Lump Sum
<br /> Measurement for dewatering will be based on the percentage of total Work complete, by
<br /> dollar value, at the time of measurement.
<br /> Payment for dewatering will be made at the measured percentage amount for the pay
<br /> period times the lump sum amount bid. Said payment shall be complete compensation for
