Bid Item 5 - Traffic Control Labor Measurement and Payment: Unit Price per Hour IThis unit price bid item includes all costs associated with traffic control labor (for flagging effort only) as identified in Section 1-10.3(4) of the Special Provisions. The Contractor shall furnish all personnel for flagging to control traffic, including pedestrians, during construction I operations in accordance with Section 1-10 of the Standard Specifications, the drawings, approved traffic control plans, as directed by the City and these Special Provisions. I Bid Item 6 - Maintenance and Protection of Traffic Control Measurement and Payment: Lump Sum This lump sum bid item includes the maintenance and protection of traffic control measure I materials, tools, and equipment necessary and incidental in accordance with Section 1- 10.3(2) of the Special Provisions, including but not limited to, signs, barricades, cones, flashers, reader boards, and temporary pavement markings. Also included is providing I traffic control supervisor, coordination with the local businesses to communicate information involving parking, street access or traffic issues, temporary concrete barrier including all costs for furnishing, placing, maintaining, replacing and cleaning barrier delineation, and I temporary impact attenuator including all costs for installation, maintenance, and final removal. Measurement for maintenance and protection of traffic control shall be the ratio of the I number of working days completed to the total number of working days authorized in the Contract. Bid Item 7 - Removal of Structures and Obstructions IMeasurement and Payment: Lump Sum No specific unit of measurement shall apply to the lump sum item for Removal of Structures I and Obstructions. Removal of Structures and Obstructions shall include the removal, haul, and disposal of all structures and obstructions that impede construction, including salvage, recycling, and/or I disposal; removal and disposal of piping, structures and appurtenances; and abandonment in place of piping, structures and appurtenances, including CDF necessary for filling piping. This shall also include the removal and subsequent replacement in kind of drainage structures that impede construction progress or are damaged by the Contractor. IThis bid item shall include abandonment of existing water mains as shown on the Plans, including cutting, draining water and properly disposing, and plugging pipe at each end with I a minimum of 2-feet of Commercial concrete or CDF. Include the concrete or CDF work with this work with no direct compensation being made. Abandon existing mains in place where possible. Include cost of removal, hauling, and disposal of existing main with this bid item when abandoning in place is not possible. Include closing existing valves and plugging where noted, and removing the lids and valve boxes. This bid item shall include removal of two trees and 70 lineal feet of fence as shown on the Plans.
