ICITY OF EVERETT SPECIAL PROVISIONS <br /> I <br /> DIVISION 2 — EARTHWORK <br /> I2-01 CLEARING, GRUBBING AND ROADSIDE CLEANUP <br /> 2-01.2 Disposal of Usable Material and Debris <br /> ISupplement 2-01.2 by adding the following: <br /> When requested by the property owner, trim trees of sufficient size for fire wood, cut <br /> into two-foot rounds and neatly stack on adjacent property. Remove and dispose of <br /> Istumps, large roots, limbs and branches. <br /> 2-01.2(1) Disposal Method No.1 — Open Burning <br /> Delete 2-01.2(1). <br /> I2-01.4 Measurement <br /> Delete all paragraphs of 2-01.4 and substitute the following: <br /> I Bid items of Work completed pursuant to the Contract Documents will be measured as <br /> described in Division B — Bid Item Descriptions of these Special Provisions and <br /> Section 1-09 MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT of the Standard Specifications. <br /> 1 2-01.5 Payment <br /> Delete all paragraphs in 2-01.5 and substitute the following: <br /> Payment for bid items of Work completed pursuant to the Contract Documents will be <br /> Ias described in Division B — Bid Item Descriptions of these Special Provisions and <br /> Section 1-09 MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT of the Standard Specifications. <br /> If there is no bid item to cover clearing and grubbing, then clearing and grubbing shall <br /> Ibe included with other work with no direct compensation made. <br /> 2-02 REMOVAL OF STRUCTURES AND OBSTRUCTIONS <br /> 1 2-02.1 Description <br /> Delete 2-02.1 and substitute the following: <br /> The Work shall consist of the removal, disposal or abandoning in-place of various <br /> Iexisting improvements including, but not limited to, pavements, structures, pipe, curbs, <br /> curb and gutter, gutter, valves, manholes, catch basins and other items necessary for <br /> the accomplishment of the improvement. <br /> IAll Work with asbestos-cement pipe shall conform to the "Recommended Standard <br /> Asbestos-Cement Pipe Work Practice Procedure and Training Requirements," latest <br /> edition, as published by the American Water Works Association, Pacific Northwest <br /> I Section. Remove and dispose of Asbestos-Cement pipe in accordance with the <br /> practices specified by the State of Washington Department of Ecology and the <br /> Snohomish County Solid Waste Division. <br /> 1 2-02.3 Construction Requirements <br /> 2-02.3(2) Removal of Bridges, Box Culverts and Other Drainage Structures <br /> I Supplement 2.02.3(2) by adding the following: <br /> When removing structures such as manholes, inlets, or vaults that interfere with <br /> the construction, properly plug all pipe openings abandoned in-place watertight <br /> I with Commercial Concrete, or with mortar and masonry, blocks or brick. <br /> Backfill voids with suitable job excavated material where structures are removed. <br /> Compact suitable backfill material in accordance with 2-03.3(14)C. <br /> Sewer Regulators R4 and Division 2—EARTHWORK May2017 <br /> 9 <br /> R39 Modifications <br /> IWO No.-UP3633 SP-135 <br />
