I CITY OF EVERETT SPECIAL PROVISIONS 1 1-05.3 Working Drawings IDelete all of 1-05.3 and substitute the following: After Award of the Contract, the Contractor will receive up to six (6) sets of the reduced Plans (11" x 17") and accompanying Special Provisions. In addition, the Owner will I supply up to three (3) sets of full size plans (22" x 34"). All Plans and Special Provisions will be conformed with addenda unless Contractor requests otherwise. Additional Plans and Special Provisions may be purchased by payment of the current Iprinting costs. The Contract Documents include Plans that show such details as are reasonably necessary to give a comprehensive understanding of the Work. The Contractor shall I submit alterations affecting the requirements and information in the Plans in writing to the Engineer for approval prior to performing such Work. The Engineer may supplement the Plans with additional drawings and explanations, Iconsistent with the purpose and intent of the original Plans, to detail and illustrate the Work. The Contractor shall perform the Work according to these supplemental drawings and explanations. IIn addition to supplemental drawings furnished by the Engineer, the Contract Documents may also be supplemented by shop drawings prepared by the Contractor, material supplier, or manufacturer, when necessary or as required by the Contract I Documents to detail and illustrate portions of the Work. Shop drawings shall be reviewed by the Engineer before work pursuant to those shop drawings is performed. Shop drawings may include, but not be limited to, shop details, erection plans, I masonry lay-out diagrams, reinforcing steel and bending diagrams, post tensioning plans, shoring, cribbing, cofferdam, or falsework plans, formwork plans, or hydraulic items. Catalog cuts or standard plans for commonly used manufactured items will be I considered as shop drawings. Unless otherwise requested by the Engineer, the Contractor shall submit six (6) hardcopies of complete sets of shop drawings or one electronic set in either PDF or ,I DWG formats directly to the Engineer for review and approval. If the design engineer is a full time employee of the City, the Contractor may expect fourteen (14) calendar days from submission for review and return of comments. If the design engineer is not I a full time employee of the City, the Contractor should expect thirty (30) calendar days from submission for review and return of comments. The Engineer may extend this time for good cause by notifying the Contractor. The Engineer will check and return I three (3) hardcopies or one electronic set of such drawings. On all Submittals of a drawing after the drawing's initial Submittal and return, the Contractor shall: make any corrections required by the Engineer; expressly and explicitly notify the Engineer in writing of any and all deviations from the specifications and all revisions other than the I corrections called for by the Engineer on previous Submittals; and return three (3) corrected hardcopies of the drawings or one corrected electronic drawing for the Engineer's further review. The Contractor shall plan on at least fourteen (14) calendar I days from the date of Engineer's receipt for the Engineer's review, comment, and return of submitted drawings. Some shop drawings may require more than six (6) hardcopies. The Contractor shall furnish additional hardcopies when requested. I The Contractor shall be fully responsible for the accuracy of dimensions and details on shop drawings, and for complete conformity with the Contract Documents, even if the shop drawings have been approved by the Engineer, or if the Contractor and the I Engineer agree on dimensions and details.
