r- <br /> • <br /> 1 RESOLUTION NO.c207 ?---" <br /> 2 A RESOLUTION setting a hearing date to receive any <br /> protest or objection to the City of Everett <br /> 3 Building Official collecting a charge of $333 . 83 <br /> as a personal obligation of the property owner <br /> 4 or the placement of a special assessment lien <br /> against the property commonly known as 2827 Norton <br /> 5 Avenue <br /> 6 <br /> 7 WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the Building <br /> 8 Official presented a proposed resolution to the City Council <br /> 9 on August 5, 1981 declaring the building located at 2827 Norton <br /> 10 Avenue to be a dangerous building and that an emergency exists, <br /> 11 and <br /> 12 WHEREAS, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 1986 <br /> 13 declaring an emergency to exist and authorizing the Building <br /> 14 Official to secure and provide emergency repairs for the <br /> 15 building; and <br /> 16 WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the city employed <br /> 17 a private contractor to secure said building and provide <br /> 18 additional supports to the interior bearing partitions; and <br /> __.. 19 WHEREAS, the City Council finds that on July 31, 1981 <br /> 20 the owner of the building was notified by certified mail of <br /> 21 the Council meeting: and <br /> 22 WHEREAS , the City Council finds that on August 14 , <br /> 23 1981 the owner was sent a certified letter informing her of <br /> 24 Council' s action authorizing the Building Official to cause <br /> 25 emergency repairs to the building; and <br /> 26 WHEREAS , the City Council finds that the certified <br /> 27 letter was returned unclaimed; and <br /> 28 WHEREAS , the City Council finds that the Building <br /> 29 Official proceeded to hire a private contractor who made the <br /> 30 necessary emergency repairs; and <br /> 31 <br /> 32 <br />
