1 WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the owners of the building have been <br /> 2 given notice of this Council meeting; and <br /> 3 WHEREAS, the City Council finds that Chapter Ten of the Uniform Code for the <br /> 4 Abatement of Dangerous Buildings, as adopted in Ordinance No. 725-80, empowers the <br /> 5 City Council to authorize the Building Official to repair, secure, vacate or demolish <br /> 6 buildings which present immediate danger to the life or safety of any person. <br /> 7 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF EVERETT: <br /> 8 Section 1: An emergency is hereby declared to exist. <br /> 9 Section 2: The address of the building is 2827 Norton Avenue, Everett, <br /> 10 Washington. The building is located on the following legally described property: <br /> 11 <br /> Lot 9-A and North Half of Lots 10, 10-A and 11, Block 671, Plat of <br /> 12 Everett, According to Plat Thereof Recorded in Volume 3 of Plats, Page <br /> 32, Records of Snohomish County, Washington. <br /> 13 <br /> 14 Section 3: The building located at the above address is hereby declared to be <br /> 15 a dangerous building. <br /> 16 Section 4: It reasonably appears that the building presents an immediate <br /> 17 danger to the life and safety of the general public. <br /> 18 Section 5: The Building Official is hereby authorized to secure and perform <br /> 19 emergency repair to stabilize the building located at the above-described address.
